After telling of my ruler’s adventures with a friend, she inspired me to flex my creativity with the help of this game and telling the tale of the dynasty I play in Crusader Kings 2. Now, I have logged well over 300 hours into the game and enjoyed thinking about subplots, family drama, relationships between my character, the AI, and the relationships between each AI character within the game. After ~60 hours of gameplay, I felt I understood enough of the game to complete it and progress ahead.

I watched Let’s Play videos and looked up some guides on how to play and understand what is going on within the game. After installation, it was a difficult game to figure out. I personally became interested in the game for its uniqueness and because of a few articles I’ve seen pointing to the Game of Thrones mod. Friends and family of past, present, and future rulers will add to the drama. The current ruler that we play throughout the game will be the focus of our story. A county or duchy will be taken over and the dynasty and ruler will be customized to change up the real story. Starting with the vanilla version with the Charlemagne DLC installed, we will explore the period where Charlemagne rose to power to found the first Holy Roman Empire by changing history a little bit.
